Almost everyone on the Naumes Crush and Fermentation team showed up to watch as the largest batch of winery equipment arrived and was unloaded at the site. Some of us even pitched in to help push the equipment into its temporary holding space, wanting to be a part of the excitement.
All of the equipment is sourced from leading manufacturers, and was custom built for our facility. We are using only the highest quality equipment, to ensure our clients grapes are handled in the best possible way to ensure an ultra premium wine.
The first truck rolled up just after 8am, loaded down with the press, sorting table and hoppers.
The europress was huge! What a beautiful and impressive piece of equipment, sure to make the best crush of your grapes.
We started by unloading the sorting table and hoppers, saving the europress for last since we would have to use the boom truck to get it off the trailer!
Finally it was time to hook the straps to the europress, we wanted to make sure it was as safe as possible.
We have liftoff!
Our head winemaker Chris Graves and Laura Naumes lead the team helping move the press into storage. You can see just how big this piece of equipment is!
As soon as the first truck left the facility, the second truck showed up loaded up with the destemmer, elevator and another sorting table. These were also unloaded and housed next to the other equipment, safe until the facility is ready for them to move in.
Earlier in the week another truck delivered the first of the tanks.
There are eight of these “little” two-tonners for our facility, ready to turn your grapes into ultra premium wine.
